Erin E. Masters

Erin E. Masters is the principal of Masters Law Group, located in Chicago, Illinois. The firm handles family law matters in Cook County and surrounding counties. Masters Law Group concentrates in area of domestic relations, which includes divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support and Hague Convention/ international child abduction matters.

Ms. Masters earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, where she attended on a merit based scholarship, was a member of the Athlete Honor Roll, a participant of the NCAA Division II Track and Field Team and graduated in three (3) years with Provost’s Honors.

Ms. Masters received her Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Child and Family Law from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law, in May of 2004. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2004 and to the General Bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2005 and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in 2020. Ms. Masters was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in March 2009.

Throughout her career Ms. Masters has represented a variety of clients, both pre-decree and post-decree. Additionally she has prepared Prenuptial Agreements, drafted Marital Settlement Agreements and Final Allocation of Parental Responsibilities Orders, as well as prosecuted and defended Orders of Protection. Ms. Masters has also successfully litigated matters concerning modification and enforcement of child support,
allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time.

In addition to representing clients, Ms. Masters is also a court-appointed Child Representative and has experience advocating for children in these high-conflict matters. Further, she has also been appointed by the Circuit Court of Cook County to mediate complex family law cases. Since 2016, Ms. Masters has been named “Rising Star” by Illinois Super Lawyers and has been named as an “Emerging Lawyer” by Leading Lawyers. In 2020, Ms. Masters was named “Super Lawyer” by Illinois Super Lawyers.

Anthony G. Joseph

Anthony G. Joseph is an attorney at the firm of Masters Law Group, LLC. Mr. Joseph received his B.A. degree in Global Economic Relations from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

He obtained both his J.D. degree and Certificate in Trial Advocacy from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2010, the Federal General Bar and Trial Bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2012 and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in 2020.

Mr. Joseph is an active trial lawyer whose practice focuses exclusively on Family Law, with a particular emphasis on International Child Abduction and cross-border custody issues pursuant to the Hague Convention of 1980 and the UCCJEA. Mr. Joseph also publishes in the area of civil litigation.

Mr. Joseph is also on the list of approved Guardian Ad Litem/Child Representatives for the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Hailey McGillivray

Hailey McGillivray is a dedicated and meticulous attorney, currently admitted to the Illinois State Bar. She holds an American and Canadian Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.

Hailey McGillivray is a dedicated and meticulous attorney, currently admitted to the Illinois State Bar. She holds an American and Canadian Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.

Hailey demonstrated her competence in law early on, having been recognized in numerous advocacy competitions. As the Associate Director of Internal Competitions on the Moot Court Board of Advocates, she was a Finalist and received the Best Oralist Award in the Patrick A. Keenan Appellate Advocacy Tournament. She further distinguished herself as Co-Champion, while also securing the Best Brief and Best Oralist Awards in the Junior Member Competition. For her outstanding advocacy skills, she was inducted as a National Member of the Order of Barristers.

Throughout her academic career, Hailey demonstrated her commitment to enhancing practical legal skills. She served as a Student Clinician at the Detroit Mercy Law Trademark and Entrepreneurship Clinic where she connected with clients to address their legal needs concerning proposed businesses and trademarks. She also served as an Extern at the Legal Aid and Defender Association, drafting persuasive memoranda and responses to complaints, performing client intake, and even representing clients in court for landlord-tenant cases under the supervision of a licensed attorney.

Upon graduation, Hailey joined Daniel Ciarabellini Law Practice in Toronto, Ontario as an Intern. There, she performed extensive legal research and prepared organized results to assist in the litigation of complex cases. Additionally, she attended witness examinations and depositions, effectively aiding research and client communications.

Since November 2022, Hailey has been an Associate Attorney at Chicago Family Attorneys, LLC, where she has been pivotal in drafting and reviewing key legal documents such as motions, memoranda, allocation judgments, and marital settlement agreements. Hailey’s commitment to effective communication with clients and attorneys has ensured meaningful advocacy and successful outcomes. Her responsibilities also include attending court for various statuses, motion and prove up hearings, and pre-trial conferences.

Catherine Brukalo

Catherine R. Brukalo is an attorney at Masters Law Group, LLC. Mrs. Brukalo received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School, in Chicago, Illinois, where she competed nationally in one of the school’s Trial Advocacy teams, was Co-Editor in Chief of The Decisive Utterance and was one of a small group of students who resurrected the school’s Polish American Student Association.

Catherine R. Brukalo is an attorney at Masters Law Group, LLC. Mrs. Brukalo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Mrs. Brukalo attended University College London in London, England, where she earned a Master of Arts Degree. After completing her studies in London, England, Mrs. Brukalo traveled to Krakow, Poland, where she was an intern at the United States Consulate General for the United States Department of State. Her work at the United States Department of State gave Mrs. Brukalo an opportunity to represent the United States Consulate to various private and governmental organizations. Mrs. Brukalo was formally recognized for her contributions at the Consulate General by then United States Ambassador to Poland, Christopher R. Hill.

Mrs. Brukalo’s experience in the courtroom began in a felony drug courtroom when she worked with the Cook County State’s Attorney as a Law Clerk under Supreme Court Rule 711 and has continued through the present with her experiences in representation of clients in matters of personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, probate, breach of contract claims, real estate transactions and domestic relations. Mrs. Brukalo has successfully represented clients in both state and federal court.

Mrs. Brukalo has served the legal community in the past in various capacities: as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association (including election to its Assembly, a member of the ISBA Standing Committee for the Law Related Education of the Public, for which she coordinated the ISBA Lawyers in Classrooms program, as well as serving as an instructor for continuing education courses for both lawyers and judges); a member of the Advocates Society (including having been elected to leadership positions as well as serving as a Co-Chair of the Advocates Speaker’s Bureau Committee); a Member of the Civil Practice Section of the McHenry County Bar Association, for which she served as Chair of its Outreach and Strategic Planning Interest Group, as well as serving as an instructor for continuing legal education classes; a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where she serves on the Judicial Evaluation Committee; the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; as a member of the Advisory Council for the Civil Justice Improvement Project of the Twenty-Second Judicial Circuit.  In 2018, Mrs. Brukalo received a Presidential Commendation from then ISBA President, the Hon. Russel W. Hartigan, for her outstanding contributions to civics education in Illinois through her exemplary work on the ISBA Lawyers in Classrooms program. Additionally, Mrs. Brukalo has been recognized by her peers, through Illinois Super Lawyers, as an Illinois Rising Star for 2015 – 2017, and a Super Lawyer for 2023 – 2024.

Mrs. Brukalo offers her clients native Polish language proficiency and is regularly published on legal matters in a Chicago-based Polish-language newspaper.  As well, she speaks in the local community in both English and Polish languages.

Mrs. Brukalo has undergone Mediation and Arbitration training as well as has been certified as a Life Coach. She also currently sits on the Board of the Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Niles, Illinois, as a Director.
